Watch my interview next week in the ON1 Pro Series

Yesterday I was interviewed by ON1’s Matt Kloskowski for their upcoming ON1 Pro Series which will feature short talks and video demos from myself and other really cool photographers.

File_000-web

In the interview Matt and I talked about things such as what I see happening in the next 5 years with photo processing, my feelings regarding how much or how little one can do to an image in post processing, what tool for post processing I would like to see that hasn’t been developed yet, and more!

In addition to the interview there will also be available a short video showing how I work with a RAW photo in Capture One Pro and really make the photo come to life in ON1 Photo 10.

In the first week of the series I join fellow pro photographers such as Hudson Henry, Blake Rudis, Scott Wyden, Scott Davenport, Frank Salas, and Liz LePage. Be sure to sign up and start watching the videos next week.

ON1 Photo 10 Review – Part 1 of 2

ON1 Photo 10 is the new name and upgrade to Perfect Photo Suite from ON1. Released to advance-purchase customers today and to the public Friday, what are the changes in ON1 Photo and is the upgrade worth it? This review will cover all of the main new features of ON1 Photo 10.

What is ON1 Photo 10?

ON1 Photo 10 is a feature rich photo editor & browser that can be used to quickly and easily improve the look of your photos. You can use it on JPG, TIF, PSD, PSB, and RAW files. From simple color corrections to advanced layer masking and blending, ON1 Photo 10 can meet the needs of most photographers from beginner to pro. There is an included Browse module to easily sort and keep track of your photos, easy options to enlarge or shrink your photos, a module for portraits, a layers module for masking & blending layers and for composites, a module for adding and stacking special photo filter effects, options to print, and ways to go mobile and sync your photos with your iPad or iPhone.

For some photographers it can completely replace Photoshop and/or Lightroom. For others it works side by side with those programs as a standalone program or as a plugin. ON1 Photo also still works with Apple’s discontinued Aperture program as well as with Photoshop Elements. It works with OS X starting with 10.8 and newer (including El Capitan) and Windows starting with Windows 7 and newer.

Charlie Monroe

Matt Suess, photographer and teacher extraordinaire, provides anyone who uses and wants a complete understanding of Perfect Photo Suite 9.5 the clearest, most concise yet detailed, and beautiful instructional videos on the subject - bar none! His videos, arranged in a linear fashion, lay a foundation that allows solid understanding of the Suite’s tools and techniques to make an ordinary image into a thing of beauty. Matt, having used Perfect Photo Suite for years, knows the program inside and out. His comfort with the program and his photographer’s techniques which he generously shares, provide a unique learning experience anyone from novice to expert can appreciate and enjoy. The Matt Suess Perfect Photo Suite videos are the only source of instruction on the subject you’ll ever need to thoroughly understand the program.

Brad Czarske

You’ve provided a lot of information, OMG, hours and hours worth! It is like being in your class. Excellent tool for me.

Scott Jones

Matt, Matt, Matt... I'm loving this course. Well worth the entry fee. Your information is well organized. I like your delivery. It's the best On1 tutorial I've found.

Steve Housley

What you have created is amazing, technically and otherwise. How you can do all of it out of the back of a camper just seems impossible. I’m so impressed with the technical aspects of the site. Not your ordinary cut and paste blog.

Joost Bosmans

Thank you for the PPS9.5-course, I've learned a lot.

John Armstrong

You did a great job on the coarse. I have a feeling I will refer to it often.

Mark Leddra

Just finished the course and found it very informative and well presented.

Howard Weiner

Just finished your 6 hour crash course and learned a lot.

Carolyn Van Calcar

I have been watching your On One Perfect training videos and am enjoying them immensely. Nicely done.

If you are interested in learning how to enhance your photos with software that is much easier to learn than Photoshop you should take a look at my course.
