New Workshop Announcement: 2016 Grand Teton National Park Spring Photo Workshop

I have a new photo workshop to announce: my 2016 Grand Teton National Park Spring Photo Workshop.

Dates: Thursday, June 16 – Sunday, June 19, 2016   Location: Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Skill Level: Beginner to advanced Class Size: Limited to 8 students
Type: Field Workshop Status: Registration is open.

I am an authorized CUA permit holder of the National Park Service
and conduct my workshops based on the permit’s guidelines.

Join me for 4 days in beautiful Jackson, Wyoming at Grand Teton National Park in the spring when there are normally a lot of wildflowers to photograph, striking sunrises and sunsets, with chances for wildlife too.

This is a shooting-intensive landscape photo workshop with one-on-one and group instruction in the field.

This workshop is designed for any skill level, yet a DSLR or equivalent (like the Sony Mirrorless cameras) with interchangeable lenses and a sturdy tripod are required, as is a basic working knowledge of your camera. Most students who take my workshops are beginners to advanced amateurs. This workshop is filled with hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and even a session or 2 in the field with my laptop going over some processing tips.

You will learn and improve your skills in the following areas: getting perfect exposures, composition, lens selection, the use of split neutral density filters and solid density filters to control exposure and for effect, how to photograph stitched panoramas, exposure bracketing (HDR), working a scene to create numerous photos & compositions from one location, and more.

Adding clouds to boring skies with Perfect Photo Suite

Recently I recorded a 30 minute video for onOne, Inc. on how to replace your boring skies using photo enhancement software Perfect Photo Suite.

Watch as I show you two different photos where I replaced a sky with one of my own cloud photo backgrounds. Using Perfect Layers and Perfect Enhance, learn some of the tips and techniques I use to replace a sky, and even how I add clouds to a reflection in the water in a photo where I replaced the sky.

Perfect Photo Suite includes a handful of cloud backgrounds in the program. You can also use your own cloud backgrounds. Be sure to also take a look at my popular high-resolution cloud backgrounds that you can purchase and download to use in any of your own photo compositions.

Interested in learning more about Perfect Photo Suite? Consider taking one of my 2-Day Perfect Photo Suite Crash Course workshops. If you can not make one of the many classes I offer each year then consider a private online one-on-one session via skype.
