Scott Jones

Matt, Matt, Matt... I'm loving this course. Well worth the entry fee. Your information is well organized. I like your delivery. It's the best On1 tutorial I've found.

Steve Housley

What you have created is amazing, technically and otherwise. How you can do all of it out of the back of a camper just seems impossible. I’m so impressed with the technical aspects of the site. Not your ordinary cut and paste blog.

Joost Bosmans

Thank you for the PPS9.5-course, I've learned a lot.

John Armstrong

You did a great job on the coarse. I have a feeling I will refer to it often.

Howard Weiner

Carolyn Van Calcar

This workshop is designed for any skill level, yet a DSLR or equivalent (like the Sony Mirrorless cameras) with interchangeable lenses and a sturdy tripod are required, as is a basic working knowledge of your camera. Most students who take my workshops are beginners to advanced amateurs. This workshop is filled with hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and even a session or 2 in the field with my laptop going over some processing tips.

One-on-One Student Interview – Rob Goddard

In June of 2015 Rob Goddard travelled from Oklahoma to Santa Fe, NM to study photography with me for two days of private one-on-one instruction.

His goals were to learn more about his camera & settings, understand proper exposure and composition, and to learn more about post processing with Lightroom and Perfect Photo Suite.

Johnny's museum of old Route 66 type cars, trucks, and signs in Embudo, New Mexico.

He was having such a good time and learning so much that he decided to book an extra half-day of instruction.

Rob was kind enough to provide a short interview on his one-on-one experience. Watch the interview to hear about his experience and to see some of the photos he created during his sessions.

Be sure to learn more about my private one-on-one study available either in-person or online, photo workshops, and online classes and contact me with any questions you may have.

One on One Photography Student Testimonial James Seith

A couple months ago I helped one of my students, James Seith, during two sessions of my online one-on-one photography instruction classes. James is an experienced amateur photographer who has traveled the world taking photographs and needed help processing and enhancing his photos. Via screen sharing with Skype I showed him how to do that using Lightroom, Photoshop, Capture One Pro, Photo Mechanic, and Perfect Photo Suite.

He emailed me a testimonial of his experience which I copied here. You can see more of his work on his website here. If you are interested in one of my one-on-one sessions you can find more information here. These sessions can take place in person or online.

Testimonial:

Best four hours of intensive photography instruction I’ve had in 15 years as a serious enthusiast. I decided on two sessions, both two hours long with a video for my use later.  They were exactly what I needed to get a real jump start in Capture One and Perfect Photo Suite and then actually begin to use the tools between sessions.  I had a couple of weeks after the first session to practice and to focus in on areas where I wanted additional help in the second two-hour session.
